On which sofas should you avoid drinking orange juice?
If your sofa is upholstered in natural fabrics (linen, cotton, silk) or viscose, we strongly recommend avoiding orange juice or orange-based cocktails while sitting on it. Because of the high acidity, the pigments settle deeply into the fabric and stain the fibers. Removing an orange juice stain from a white linen or cotton sofa is extremely difficult, especially if the stain is several days old and the pigments were not neutralized right away. Research has shown that the chances of completely removing an orange juice stain from light-colored, natural upholstery are only about 25%, and for silk, barely 5%.
